Your housing and social experiences are as important as your
coursework. Our approach to making housing placements is to match each
student as well as possible with a family with similar interests. This
means, if you are an accountant, we try to place you with a family with
a similar profession or background. Or, you may choose to stay at a
youth hostel, efficiency motel, furnished apartment, or hotel. Each
experience will be different and each is designed to meet your own
specific need.
And we know you will want to enjoy
the wide range of cultural, sporting, and social activities
offered in the Southern California area. We run a
great social program and our staff will get you involved
from your very first day. |

Central Location
IH Santa Monica is housed on the
first floor of a modern, air-conditioned, 3-storey office
building just steps away from shopping, restaurants, theaters,
museums, and cinemas - and, of course, the vast beaches of the
Pacific Ocean. There is a coffee shop and cafe in the building
for quick lunches and must-have cups of coffee. Santa Monica
is a safe and 'laid-back' town with something fun and exciting
to do all hours of the day or night. As you walk along the
Promenade, be sure to watch for your favorite actor or actress. |

Easy Transport Access
Santa Monica’s local
transport system can get you around the city easily
and efficiently. The school is just 15 minutes from
Los Angeles International Airport. If you plan to
stay awhile, you may consider buying a car and re-selling
it before you return home. |

Exam Programs
IH schools throughout the world are
highly regarded for their superb Cambridge exam programs.
IH-USA schools offer the full range of Cambridge exam courses:
PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE. The centers also prepare students
for other important exams including: TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS,
CEJBT, and teacher training as well—CELTA and CEELT.
If you are planning to sit the GED, SAT, GMAT and the GRE,
we can arrange special tutoring.

Travel to Santa Monica
Los Angeles International Airport is only 15 minutes from
downtown Santa Monica. Daily flights arrive from every country
in the world. All major airports in the country serve the
Los Angeles metropolitan area, so connecting flights are
easily arranged. The school arranges gate to door transfer
service or taxis and shuttle buses are convenient options,
offering curb to door service at inexpensive prices.
